Once upon a time, in a giant round spaceship called the *Star Gazer*, lived a boy named Leo and a girl named Maya. They were the only astronauts on the whole ship, but that was okay because they had a big job to do. Their job was to collect special shiny stuff called Star Dust.

Leo was wearing a bouncy red spacesuit with white polka dots, and Maya was wearing a bouncy blue spacesuit with yellow stars. They floated in the middle of the space station, which looked like a huge castle made of metal and glass.

"We have to be very careful, Maya," Leo said, tapping his helmet. "The Star Dust is very old and very magic."

"Don't worry, Leo!" Maya cheered, spinning in a circle. "I am the fastest collector in the galaxy!"

Maya zipped around the room so fast she looked like a blue blur. She reached for a jar on the shelf, but she bumped her elbow hard against it. *Clang!* The jar fell and rolled right under a big table.

"Oh no!" Maya sighed, her face turning red with worry. "I dropped the jar of Star Dust!"

Leo floated over and peered under the table. The jar was there, but the lid had popped off. A little puff of purple glittery smoke floated out and mixed with the air.

"It is okay," Leo said gently, patting Maya's shoulder. "The Star Dust is just a little messy now. Let's try to clean it up."

They worked together to push the jar back under the table, but they made a mistake. When they pushed too hard, the table tipped over! All the other jars of Star Dust tumbled out, rolling across the floor like colorful marbles. They rolled into a big, fluffy cloud of white space foam.

"Uh oh," Maya said, her voice small. "Now the Star Dust is inside the foam. We can't see it."

"We have to find it!" Leo declared, his eyes wide. "If we lose the Star Dust, the whole space station will stop working!"

Suddenly, a gentle rumbling sound came from the walls. The lights in the station flickered and dimmed. A soft, gray fog started to fill the room, making everything look a bit foggy and hard to see.

"The fog is getting thick!" Maya shouted over the noise. "We can't find the jars!"

"Don't panic!" Leo said bravely. "We need to use our special astronaut eyes. Look for the purple sparkles in the white foam."

Leo held up a small flashlight. *Beep!* The light was broken. It only made a buzzing noise and showed a tiny spark of yellow light. Maya looked around and found a tiny, glowing blue button on the wall. She pressed it. Suddenly, the whole room lit up with soft, golden light, and the fog began to swirl away.

"The golden light!" Maya gasped. "It shows us where the dust is."

They began to crawl through the foam carefully. *Squeak, squeak,* went their boots. They pushed the foam aside with their hands until they found the first jar. It was sitting right next to a floating piece of candy.

"Got it!" Leo laughed, holding the jar up. "This one is safe!"

But as soon as Leo picked up the jar, the room shook again! This time, a giant, friendly-looking robot with a face made of buttons rolled out from behind the table. It had one big wheel for a head and arms made of springs.

"Beep boop! Alert! Alert!" the robot chirped in a happy voice. "Star Dust levels are low. Mission is in danger!"

"Oh, no!" Maya cried. "The robot thinks we are in trouble!"

"It's okay," Leo said, smiling at the robot. "We are here to help, not to cause trouble. Look, we found the first jar!"

Leo showed the jar to the robot. The robot's eyes turned into happy green dots. *Beep!* It rolled forward and helped them push the foam away.

"Excellent! Now we need the other jars!" the robot announced. "But the fog is returning!"

Just then, the golden light started to fade again, and the gray fog came back with a swirl. It covered the floor completely.

"We can't see anything!" Maya squealed. "The fog is hiding the rest of the jars!"

"We have to keep moving!" Leo said firmly. "If we don't find the rest of the Star Dust, the *Star Gazer* won't be able to travel to the next planet."

Leo and Maya held hands tight. They felt the fuzzy texture of the foam under their feet. They could hear tiny *tingles* coming from the foam, like tiny bells ringing.

"Listen!" Leo whispered. "That tingling sound means the Star Dust is right here!"

"I hear it too!" Maya said, pressing her ear against the foam. "It sounds like... a party!"

Suddenly, the fog parted just enough to reveal a huge, glowing purple jar in the middle of the room. It was the biggest jar of all. But as they looked at it, they saw a sign hanging from the jar that said, *Too Big for One Pair of Hands!*

"It's too heavy for us!" Maya said, looking worried. "We need help!"

"We don't have anyone else here," Leo said, looking around the empty station. "But maybe we can make a plan."

The robot rolled up to them with a big springy smile.

"I have an idea!" the robot beeped happily. "We can use my spring arms to lift the jar together!"

"That's a great idea!" Leo cheered. "We all work together."

Leo and Maya each grabbed one side of the big jar, and the robot grabbed the top. They took a deep breath and pushed. They lifted the heavy jar high into the air. It hovered there, glowing brighter than ever before.

"We did it!" Maya shouted with joy. "The Star Dust is safe!"

"Yes!" Leo laughed, spinning in a happy circle. "And the *Star Gazer* will work perfectly now!"

The robot rolled back and forth, making happy *beep-boop* sounds as the fog completely disappeared. The room was filled with sparkling light again.

"Great job, Leo and Maya!" the robot said. "But wait... there is one more thing."

The robot pointed a springy finger toward the doorway of the space station. Outside the glass door, a new star was appearing in the sky. It was a bright, twinkling star that had never been seen before.

"Look!" Maya pointed out the window. "There is a new star!"

"A new star?" Leo asked, his eyes wide with excitement. "That means there is a new place for us to visit!"

"Correct!" the robot announced. "The Star Dust we collected has a special power: it can open doors to new adventures!"

The door began to glow with a warm orange light. A small crack appeared in the center of the metal door, and a soft breeze blew in from outside.

"It's open!" Leo said, taking a step toward the crack. "But the path is very long."

"We can do it," Maya said, standing tall next to her friend. "We have the Star Dust, and we have each other."

"Together, we can go anywhere!" Leo agreed. "But first, we need to figure out where this new star takes us."

The door opened just a little wider, revealing a swirling galaxy of colors and tiny, twinkling lights. They looked like a tunnel made of sugar and dreams.

"Which way should we go?" Maya asked, pointing to the left and the right. "It looks like there are many paths!"

"We don't know yet," Leo said, holding the glowing jar close to his chest. "But I have a feeling the adventure is just beginning."

The robot let out a loud, happy squeak as the three of them stepped forward, ready to explore the unknown. The journey to the new star was far from over, and they were just getting started.
